Adoption Rhode Island is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to finding families for children in state care and supporting those children and families throughout the adoption process. We also provide child, youth and family support services, education, training, advocacy, and referrals. We are proud to have found adoptive families for more than 1000 children, over the years, but there are hundreds of others in Rhode Island at any given time who need forever families.
Adoption Rhode Island’s mission is to facilitate the permanent placement of children waiting in state care and promote adoption as a positive way to create a family. We provide pre and post adoption services to families, advocate for public policy to promote a child’s right to a safe environment and a permanent family, and increase public awareness of the unmet needs of these children.
As we walk the walk for over one hundred children in Rhode Island waiting for their forever families. You can help to ensure that every child has a place to call home, a family to love, and a childhood filled with memories. Registration opens at 11 AM. The Walk will kick off at 12 noon.
